Grimo Contracting is Niagara-based and Niagara-run. When you call, you get the person who will actually be standing in your driveway, not a dispatcher three cities away working off a script. Common questions

Good to know

How much does junk and debris removal cost?

Pricing is based on how much space the load takes up in the truck or trailer, plus disposal fees for the material. We give you an all-in price before we start (labour, hauling and dump fees included), so the number we give you is the number you pay.

My yard floods every spring. Can you fix it?

Usually, yes, and the right fix depends on where the water is coming from. Sometimes it's grade, and regrading so the ground falls away from the house solves it. Sometimes the ground can't shed it fast enough and it needs a French drain, a swale or a downspout run underground to carry it off. If a slope is washing out, a retaining wall holds it. We come look at where the water sits and after which kind of rain, then tell you which one you actually need.

How long does a patio or walkway take?

Most residential patios and walkways run two to four days on site, depending on size, access and how much digging the base needs. We give you the schedule with the quote. If there's an old patio, deck or walkway in the way, we tear it out and haul it off on the same job, so you don't need a second company for the demolition.

Do I need to be home when you arrive?

Not necessarily. If the items are outside and accessible, we can do the job while you're at work and send photos plus the invoice once it's done. For inside jobs, we do need someone to let us in and point out what stays.

What can't you take?

We can't haul hazardous materials: paint, solvents, fuels, asbestos, propane tanks or certain chemicals. Mention anything questionable when you request an estimate and we'll tell you straight away, and point you toward the right disposal depot.

Do you handle emergency storm calls?

Yes. When a tree comes down on a driveway, fence or roofline, call us directly rather than using the form; we prioritize anything blocking access or creating a hazard.

Where does the junk actually go?

Whatever can be recycled or donated gets sorted out first: metal, clean wood, working appliances and usable furniture. Only what's left over goes to landfill.

Do you work with contractors and property managers?

Regularly. Renovation debris, turnover clean-outs between tenants, and recurring site cleanups are all standard work for us. If you've got multiple properties, call and we'll sort out a standing arrangement.
